Job Summary:

The Accounting Intern will assist the Accounting Department with daily tasks, financial reporting, and administrative support. This internship provides hands-on experience in financial operations, bookkeeping, and exposure to accounting principles and software. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn about corporate accounting practices.

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and journal entries.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.

  • Maintain and organize financial records, invoices, and receipts.

  • Conduct data entry and ensure accuracy in accounting systems.

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking.

  • Perform basic financial analysis and prepare reports for management.

  • Help ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

  • Participate in audits and tax preparation activities.

  • Research financial regulations and assist in implementing best practices.

  • Provide general administrative support to the Accounting Department as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge is a plus).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle (preferred but not required).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
