Job Summary:
The Accounting Intern will assist the Accounting Department with daily tasks, financial reporting, and administrative support. This internship provides hands-on experience in financial operations, bookkeeping, and exposure to accounting principles and software. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn about corporate accounting practices.
Job requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Maintain and organize financial records, invoices, and receipts.
Conduct data entry and ensure accuracy in accounting systems.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
Perform basic financial analysis and prepare reports for management.
Help ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Participate in audits and tax preparation activities.
Research financial regulations and assist in implementing best practices.
Provide general administrative support to the Accounting Department as needed.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge is a plus).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle (preferred but not required).
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
