Role Overview

As a Technical Architect, you will provide expert-level technical leadership for sophisticated Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions. You'll lead solution architecture design, guide delivery teams, partner closely with Sales on scoping and estimation, and mentor consultants across the practice.

What You’ll Do 

  • Be a recognized expert in AEM software-based solutions and technologies

  • Deliver effective consulting services and lead ambassadorship in client relationships

  • Provide technical leadership in sophisticated AEM-centric digital marketing solutions; lead solution architecture design and mentor teams

  • Be a sought-out partner by Sales, collaborating to define initial architectural approaches and identify challenges and solutions

  • Drive continuous improvement of delivery methodology and planning guidance; partner with Sales on accurate scoping and cost estimates

  • Mentor others on the team, from new-hire onboarding to complex implementation issues

  • Lead the team in identifying, capturing, and distributing knowledge with clients, partners, and colleagues

  • Diagnose a client's technical environment and recommend options for improvement
    Work across multiple client engagements and internal initiatives concurrently

  • Analyze complex project issues, identify solution options, and facilitate presentation/review with clients

Job requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–10 years' experience in Web and/or ECMS technologies

  • 3+ years of direct client consulting experience

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into architecture, design, and development activities for large, sophisticated web solutions

  • Experience engaging Sales teams and understanding the sales process

  • Comfort leading Agile/Scrum delivery

  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (Java)

  • Debugging skills across TCP/IP networking, UNIX, HTTP, and SMTP

  • Mastery of at least one current SQL dialect

  • Knowledge of HTML, DHTML, JS, CSS, and Jamstack

  • Proficiency in XML and related technologies (XSLT, DTDs, SOAP, etc.)

  • Experience administering and debugging web servers such as Apache

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of Sling or OSGi frameworks, JCR API, RESTful principles, or ExtJS

  • Experience with Dispatcher or CDNs

  • Exposure to the latest AEM Cloud Service

    Engagement Details

    Full-time senior consulting engagement; position may require up to 15% travel.

    Work Arrangement

    Remote, supporting clients across the United States and Canada. Core collaboration hours are aligned to Central Time (CST).
