About the Role:

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Intern with a keen interest in application security testing, vulnerability assessment, and QA automation
The selected candidate will be trained to perform
SAST (Static Application Security Testing) and DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) using industry-standard tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, and others, under the guidance of our Technical Success and Security teams. 

This role is ideal for someone with a QA or software development background who wants to transition into cybersecurity and secure coding practices. 

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist in running SAST (source code analysis) and DAST (web application vulnerability scans) on client projects. 

  • Generate and review security scan reports under supervision. 

  • Work closely with the development and QA teams to help reproduce, verify, and document identified vulnerabilities. 

  • Support in maintaining the security testing environment and scan configurations. 

  • Learn and apply secure coding principles and best practices. 

  • Assist in creating or updating internal documentation for security scanning procedures

  • Participate in ongoing learning around OWASP Top 10, CWE, and common web vulnerabilities. 

Required Skills & Qualifications 

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. 

  • 0–1 year of experience in cybersecurity. 

  • Strong understanding of web applications (HTML, APIs, databases, and client-server communication). 

  • Familiarity with QA testing concepts or prior exposure to software testing tools

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Curiosity about cybersecurity, ethical hacking, or vulnerability testing

  • Basic knowledge of HTTP requests, cookies, sessions, and APIs

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Willingness to learn tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, and SonarQube

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) 

  • Some experience with manual or automated QA testing

  • Exposure to GitHub, Postman, or REST API testing

  • Awareness of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities

  • Interest in pursuing security certifications (CEH, Security+, etc.).
